AromaSense has been supplying essential oils and aromatherapy products for over 13 years. Our business was originally established in 1996 under the name Natural Therapies and in 2002 was registered as AromaSense International Limited.  We're now known as just AromaSense.  Our customers include the general public - both men and women, and businesses such as pharmacies, health stores, massage therapists and beauty spas.

OUR AROMATHERAPY AND ESSENTIAL OILS
Our AromaSense brand is a line dedicated to customer confidence; compliance with nature; overarching value; and a commitment to the finest grades, ingredients, and sources in existence.  Our New Zealand organic lavender essential oil, for example, marries a smooth aroma with rich complementary notes that will remind you why lavender is the most grown - and most relaxing - oil producing plant across the globe.  Our sandalwood essential oil, meanwhile, comes from Indonesia - from native sources known for their refined yet characteristic exotic and woody scent. And our luxurious rosehip carrier oil is used for helping treat skin conditions such as wrinkles and  burns, scars and damaged skin.

We go to great lengths to select the best ingredients and characteristics nature has to offer, but we also go to great lengths to preserve and protect these characteristics by keeping them as pure in the bottle as they are in the ground. When using oils for therapy (whether physical, emotional, or spiritual), it’s important to preserve and value the natural components of each oil. Our goal, then, is not to sell “standardised” extractions that break down oils and treat them like chemicals - but to nourish their natural properties and seasonal strengths in order to complement and compound their components. We believe that oils from naturally grown plants with more complete, well rounded and excellent aromas will be the most therapeutic - especially when using oils for emotional wellbeing.  We try and stay away from ‘standardised’ extractions often demanded by the cosmetic industry, where each ‘batch’ must be exactly like the last. We prefer to let each one stand on its own merits and to not ‘play’ around with it to cater to other industries criteria. If they have been 'standardised' then they have been adulterated and possibly contaminated so probably shouldn't be used for therapeutic aromatherapy.

As such, we’re proud to say that every essential oil oil we carry is therapeutic grade. Of course, while all of this is important to us, we recognise that our clients are just as concerned with the experience of using our essential oils as they are with the theories, practices, and cares behind them - and we’re happy to report, just as they are, that our oils excel in use just as they do in ethics and sourcing.  On a regular basis we spend time investigating better, unadulterated and more sustainable products, eventually moving towards organic ranges where feasible.  Our essential oils are analysed for authenticity and meet certification standards so you can be confident that you are buying genuine pure essential oils and aromatherapy products.

ABOUT THE OWNERS
We are a husband and wife team - Renata and Grant, and are passionate about essential oils and complementary medicine in general. The practice of aromatherapy has so much potential in our everyday lives, particulary as more of us become increasingly aware of the environment and natural health. We have enjoyed educating ourselves about the benefits of aromatherapy and experimenting with essential oil blends - some of our favourite essential oils are bergamot, clove leaf, lavender, lemon, rose, spearmint, sweet orange and tea tree. Some we love for their calming and therapeutic properties, others we just adore for their scent!
